#2088 was used in 1989, repainted in Air America livery coded 238, to film the movie "Air America" together with 3 further AU-23A of the RTAF coded 184, 206, 215 (one in original RTAF camo). 8 derelicts from the Lopburi scrapyard had been used to build a flying hybrid Turbo-Porter named "Corrosion City" to film the hilltop landing and takeoff. A further derelict was used to film the crash landing into the back of a C-123 fuselage.
